On June 27, 2024, the Chinese home appliance brand "Midea" set up three simulated kitchen rooms in the Xiaotianshan Scenic Area of Zhangjiakou, China.Each room was equipped with a range hood (model:CXW-140-YG30/YG28M).During the experiment, 944 detectors showed a PM2.5 index of less than 40μg/m³, and these detectors created a mosaic of the characters "无烟感" with 20.3㎡. After on-site verification by Forbes World Records Certification, the experiment successfully set a world record for "the largest PM2.5 mosaic with readings less than 40μg/m³ in a range hood cooking test."
